Police have arrested 14 people in UK raids this morning who are suspected of being involved in a £1m phishing attack.

Over a three-day period at Christmas, the suspects allegedly used the money to buy items ranging from cheeseburgers to gold bars. The raiders allegedly siphoned £1m from the life savings account of a woman to a series of money mules, the Metropolitan police said in a statement on Thursday.
