14 reasons why I love my smartphones (application screenshot gallery)

Summary: Smartphones are very useful devices that have become an extension of our lives. As we celebrate Valentine's Day, I thought it would be fun to show some of my favorite apps and functions.

Reason 1: Google Now on Android devices

I have a wife and three daughters and love them more than anything in the world. I obviously don't have "real" love for my inanimate smartphones, but they have become very useful tools in my life. While the screenshots in this gallery were created on the Galaxy Note II, many of these applications and integrated apps are present on other platforms and help define why I "love" my smartphones. FYI, these reasons I love my smartphones are not in an order of importance.

Google updates Google Now on a regular basis and the service presents data applicable to you. It is a real assistant and one of the reasons I enjoy using my Galaxy Note II.

Audible

That is the only one on the list I agree with. I find Audible great when doing the housework, walking the dog or driving in the car.

slideshows on zdnet

Love your slideshows, but we are in 2013-- it is ridiculous that the whole page must refresh to go from slide to slide.

Better than Google Maps?

If you haven't already done so, check out Waze. This crowd-sourced active live traffic app also gives you audible turn-by-turn directions to your destination, warns you of traffic cops ahead, and even dynamically will suggest an alternate route if an incident is blocking the route ahead of you significantly.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY SMART PHONE but there are pros and cons

SMART PHONES ARE DEFINITELY NOT CHEAP BUT THANKS TO MY PHONE SERVICE I AM ON A 4G NETWORK WITH UNLIMITED EVERYTHING EVEN DATA PLUS 2MB. I SAVE 2000 DOLLARS EVER SINCE I SWITCHED PHONE COMPANIES!! IF INTERESTED I RECCOMMEND CHECKING THEM OUT
