Google Drive, the search company's answer to Dropbox and Microsoft's SkyDrive, will launch next week, according to reports.

The cloud storage service will launch with 5GB of storage per user, according to partner press release details seen by The Next Web and reported on Monday.

The software will span the Windows and Mac operating systems, along with Android and iOS. It will provide an online document storage and syncing service for businesses and consumers.

Rival service Dropbox, which is underpinned by the Amazon Web Services S3 storage cloud, gives users 2GB of space to start with.

The service should launch on Tuesday, The Next Web estimates.
