Remember that creepy Big Dog robot that Boston Dynamics created two years ago, and the video that showed researchers giving it a mean shove?

Well, now there's an equally creepy bipedal robot that is able to climb stairs in much the same way that we've been known to when we've been out a bit late on a Friday night.

Yes, the seemingly sadistic robot shover is back again, but the second bipedal robot (PETMAN) in the video seems to deal calmly with the abuse.

These robots (as well as the Cheetah robot that we reported on earlier) were built by Boston Dynamics, with support from DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency).

Maybe that's how the machines are able to eventually take over ... they keep us amused with funny videos like these until it's all too late.
