A private investigator who formerly worked for the Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft (AFACT) has claimed that the group boosted its statistics, courted the police and used the media to make piracy seem like a bigger deal than it is. If the PI's claims are true, this begs the question: is it OK to use unethical behaviour to catch unethical people?
