Apigee on Wednesday said that it has acquired InsightsOne, a company that specializes in analytics and big data.
For Apigee, which focuses on integrating mobile apps and application programming interfaces, InsightsOne gives it a predictive analytics platform to add to its digital business suite. Apigee's platform allows developers to launch enterprise applications faster and make APIs interoperable.
Apigee counts AT&T, Dell, Walgreens, Digital River, eBay and Gamestop as customers.
According to Apigee, InsightsOne will be integrated into its digital business platform. InsightOne specifically focuses on analytics for marketers and customer service in healthcare, financial services, telecom and e-commerce.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Apigee launched a big data effort dubbed Apigee Insights, which revolves around business analytics, but InsightsOne adds a consumer angle since it tries to predict future behavior.
