For the third year in a row, Internode has picked up the home ISP of the year award from survey group Roy Morgan's Customer Satisfaction Awards, which are based on the responses of 50,000 consumers and 22,000 business decision makers throughout the year.

Internode picked up 10 of the 12 monthly awards on offer, with the remaining two picked up by iiNet stablemate Westnet. Other ISPs included in the survey were TPG, Optus, Telstra, and iiNet itself.

In the handset provider category, Apple beat out Samsung, HTC, LG, and Nokia to take home each monthly and the annual award for its iPhone devices.

Similar domination was seen by Amaysim, which also took home each monthly and the annual award in the mobile phone service provider category, with a higher customer satisfaction rating than Virgin Mobile, TPG, Optus, and Telstra.

On the banking front, Commonwealth Bank swept the major bank category and Westpac took out the major business bank category. However, neither bank was able to take out the overall bank of the year or business bank of the year awards, which Victoria Teachers Mutual Bank and Bendigo Bank won, respectively.

Travel-wise, Qantas won the domestic airline of the year, Virgin Australia picked up the inaugural domestic business airline gong, and Singapore Airlines won the international airline award.
