in brief Apple is reportedly in the planning phase for a second Apple Store in the Sydney CBD.

According to documents published by ifoAppleStore.com (PDF), Sydney's newest Apple store will take up 5360-square feet of floor space in the Broadway shopping centre, and will sit in close proximity to Broadway-based Apple reseller, NextByte.

While NextByte Broadway told ZDNet Australia that they weren't in a position to discuss the new Apple Store, it is sure to ruffle some feathers within the reseller chain.

Apple's current Sydney CBD store located on George Street, Sydney, reportedly cost over $23 million to build and opened in 2008.

  • It seems to be that Apple are killing off the nextbyte resllers, the Castle Hill store recently shut up, and is now very empty (I have no idea when the Apple store moved in though)
