Over at Triple Pundit, Leon Kaye has a good list of 10 cities with a bright sustainable future. What's nice, the list is void of the usual suspects (Portland, Copenhagen, San Francisco, etc.) and focuses on cities you might want to pay close attention to in 2012.
Here's the list:
San Jose, California
Detroit is definitely the most intriguing, if not the most surprising, of the bunch. Because despite bad news this year, with decision against light rail (among others), young professionals and businesses are moving to and investing in the city. A revival is on the way, Kaye says:and the
Never mind an overwhelmed local government, ignored buildings and automakers who are just now recovering from the crisis of a few years ago: Detroit’s contraction means the city’s citizens are already in the middle of redefining the urban and rural. Watch for urban farming, social enterprise and the creative arts to thrive.
