According to IDC, hardware continues to account for the bulk of the IT spending in Asia-Pacific excluding Japan, but the allocation for software is trending up, with 17.6% of the population of computerized firms in the region deploying system management software (SMS) and 29% using network management software (NMS) within their corporate IT infrastructures.
