The three-month average of worldwide sales of semiconductors was $18.05 bln in February 2005, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), beating previous analyst expectations of $17.7 bln. February 2005 sales average came in just 2% below the January 2005 sales average of $18.41 bln. Sales for February 2005 were 15.8% higher than February 2004 three-month average sales of $15.59 bln.
