The Radicati Group says the market for enterprise wireless email has gained considerable momentum in the last 12 months. This is largely due to many leading wireless vendors shifting their sales and marketing strategies to focus on wireless carriers rather than going directly to the enterprise.

The research company projects that over 3.2 mln business professionals will be using enterprise wireless email by year-end 2004. Research also indicates that employees using wireless email are putting in an extra 60 minutes of work per day in 2004. This will grow to 95 minutes by year-end 2008. By year-end 2004, the study projects that revenues for enterprise wireless email vendors will reach $231 mln, growing steadily to $1,158 mln by 2008.
