43% of Web stores say 25-50% of their revenues come from holiday season

WebTrends says that among the merchants who expect the holidays to bring in 25-50% of their revenue, Web-only retailers ranked the highest at 43%, followed by 37% of web and store retailers, 31% of web and catalog retailers, and 27% of retailers with operations spanning web, store and catalog. 63% of Web retailers will offer free shipping in order to boost their holiday sales. 42% said they plan to offer value-added promotions such as free gift with purchase.
