50% of holiday travelers prefer hotel to a stay with the family

Almost 50% of people staying overnight with relatives this holiday season would prefer to stay in a hotel for at least part of their stay. 25% of would-be travelers said staying in a hotel would make the holidays more pleasant, and 40% said it would decrease holiday stress, Harris Interactive reported.
