50% of UK mobile users have GPRS, 75% will by the end of 2005

Mobile Data Association (MDA) says the number of phones with GPRS and MMS technology in UK has doubled since 2003. By the end of 2005, the MDA predicts that 75% of all mobiles in the UK will be able to access the Internet via GPRS.

Mobile Data Association (MDA) says the number of phones with GPRS and MMS technology in UK has doubled since 2003. By the end of 2005, the MDA predicts that 75% of all mobiles in the UK will be able to access the Internet via GPRS. About 53 mln people own a mobile in the UK, half of those phones use GPRS. 32% of all mobiles in the UK able to send or receive picture messages. 36% of UK camera phone users had never sent a multimedia message.
