NewVoiceMedia, a UK-headquartered cloud contact centre technology vendor, is moving to speed up its international expansion after securing US$50 million in a Series E funding round.
The company, with its headquarters located in Basingstoke, already has offices in Sydney, New York City, San Francisco, Paris, and Brussels. This new substantial cash injection will see the contact centre-as-a-service company work to broaden its business in North America and Asia.
New investor Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) led the round, and was joined by existing shareholders Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), Highland Capital Partners Europe, Eden Ventures, Notion Capital, and salesforce.com, taking the total amount raised by the company over the past 18 months to US$105 million.
"This investment almost doubles our funding from the last 18 months, bringing the total raised to an impressive $105 million, and is a powerful validation that the contact centre market is rapidly transitioning to the cloud," said CEO, Jonathan Gale, in a blog post published on 9 July.
He said he was pleased to see his company join the likes of Facebook, Netflix, and Spotify, along with a number of other high-profile brands in the Silicon Valley-based TCV's investment portfolio.
"We're also delighted that the other investors have shown their continued support for NewVoiceMedia by joining the round, including salesforce.com," he said.
According to Gale, the company's license revenue growth is currently exceeding 100 percent annually, and outpacing the expanding cloud contact centre market five-fold, with this latest investment set to help the company "further increase international adoption of our disruptive technology and continue our growth trajectory ahead of the market".
Gale said that NewVoiceMedia will invest in developing its cloud solutions portfolio and work to strengthen its position across all its business functions, including sales and marketing, developer operations, and professional services, across North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
"This will enable us to continue offering customers the best possible support and technology infrastructure," he said. "Today's announcement is another major step in NewVoiceMedia's global expansion, and we look forward to continuing to outpace the market while helping our global customer base drive transformation in their businesses."
By its own estimation, the company serves over 13,000 agents in 40 countries on five continents, including Parcelforce, QlikView, DPD, Topcon Positioning Systems, and Truphone.
