51% of men and 51% of women have used online banking in the past 30 days

Among those currently banking online, over 40% of women, more than 50% of those 18-24 years of age, and over 40% of those with under $25,000 annual household income have started to do so within the past 2 years. In 2003, 51% of men and 43% of women indicated they had conducted online banking in the previous 30 days.

In 2005, that percentage shifted to 51% for each. 42% of non-online banking women stated a fear that account info will be viewed by an unauthorized party, as compared to 37% of men, Javelin Strategy & Research says.
