54.1 mln Americans use Cingular, 51.3 mln - Verizon

Verizon Wireless added 2 mln new customers in Q4 2005. For all of 2005, it added 7.5 mln new customers, 19.5% more than in 2004. Verizon Wireless now has 51.3 mln customers Cingular added 1.85 mln new customers in Q4 2005 and bringing its total to 54.1 mln. Nearly 70% of Americans already own mobile phones, The New York Times reports.
