8.2 mln broadband subscribers in UK by year-end 2005

UK broadband market cracked the 5 mln subscriber mark in September and is expected to grow a further 64% over the next 15 months, according to Informa Telecoms Group. By the end of 2005, there will be more than 8.2 mln UK broadband subscribers, with nearly 5.6 mln of them connected on phone lines using high-speed DSL technology, the Informa report said.
