8 mln LCD TVs sold in first half of 2005
Global shipments of LCD TVs will total about 8 mln units in the first half of 2005, iSuppli said. Since most panel makers have stated they expect LCD TV shipments to exceed 20 mln units in 2005, they will have to continue lowering their TV panel prices to stimulate demand for at least 12 mln TV panels in the second half of 2005, iSuppli said.
