80% of online publishers...

80% of online publishers will be charging for online content by the end of the year, according to the Association of Online Publishers' (AOP) latest membership survey. Figures revealed to NMA show that while 58% of online publishers have already put a price on their Web content, a further 24% plan to introduce charges by 2005. While display advertising provides the largest source of revenue for online publishers (43%), paid-for content brings in 13% and is the second most important source.
