("Naked Plug" means Unapologetic Advertisement, not Immodest Cork.) Accenture Technology Labs has just released a new set of high-quality videos highlighting our work in Predictive Monitoring, Cargo Monitoring, Sensor Telemetry, Intelligent Home Services, Online Health Services, and several other areas.

So what?

Contrary to what you might think of a promotional DVD, the videos are quite interesting. The Sensor Telemetry clip shows client work we did instrumenting rail cars with GPS units (to track location), strain gauges (to tell how full a car is) and accelerometers (to report on large impacts which--in a car full of flammable fluid--are of more than passing interest). There's also the interactive wall technology clip, which shows a 10' by 4', 4096 x 1536-pixel, multi-touch-sensitive (and hence multi-user) video wall, the first such ever constructed. Another clip reports on Pickberry, our project to instrument a vineyard so as to produce better grapes. There's also footage on our work with Vivometrics' LifeShirt, an uber-geek-fashionable package of biometric sensors. And there's much, much more! Further, as if their often extraordinary contents weren't enough, the videos' voice-overs are distinguished by a richness of tone and elegance of syntax that is nothing short of astounding. Honest. Check them out here.
