Nokia won't be the only newcomer to the Windows Phone 7 scene this year. Acer is expected to join in on the fun as well.

According to Pocket-lint, Acer will release a WP7-based smartphone (or maybe multiple devices) in either September or October, likely to coincide with the anticipated WP7 "Mango" update.

Neither Acer nor Microsoft has announced this development to the public just yet, but it does seem very possible. If true, Acer seems to be covering its ground well between an Android-based tablets and smartphones, along with something on the horizon with Windows.
