in brief The Australia Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) has officially announced its whole-of-government telecommunications operations management panel a year following initial discussions.
Boeing, Bridge IT Engineers, Consultel, Fujitsu, NEC, Telstra and Optus were all successfully appointed to the panel, AGIMO first assistant secretary John Sheridan announced on the AGIMO blog today.
The companies will work across the board with federal government agencies for all their telecommunications needs, including managing mobile handsets and contracts, providing telecommunications support and designing new telecommunications solutions.
More companies may be potentially added to the panel in the future as negotiations are finalised, Sheridan said. The whole-of-government telecommunications panel was first discussed by AGIMO in May last year and the contract will last for three years with a possible extension of two years after that.
