Amazon's drone delivery might be
a few years away
, but one airline has found an interesting way to make use of the unmanned aerial vehicles.
To celebrate reaching 100,000 Facebook followers, airBaltic surprised select customers with free flights, delivered by drones. Check it out.
Add it to the
list of companies
utilizing (or planning to use) drones in one form or another.
While 100,000 Facebook followers might not seem like much to celebrate -- compared with an airline like Southwest which has over four million followers -- the Latvian national airline says it's the first brand in the Baltic region to gain that many followers.
The airline considers itself a hybrid by using "best practices both from traditional network airlines and low cost carriers."
