Amazon: Kindle has best sales month; Still mum on real figures

Amazon says the Kindle had its best sales month ever in November. Good luck figuring out basics such as units sold, revenue and any other metric that may matter.

The company is notoriously mum about sales figures for the Kindle. So instead, Amazon tells us how great the Kindle is selling, but neglects to reveal anything meaningful (Techmeme).

According to Amazon, Kindle is its best selling product across all of its categories. the company says in a statement that some folks are buying Kindles in bulk.

That's just swell, but real figures would be a lot better. At this juncture Amazon is delivering a press release a day to fend off rival devices like the nook from Barnes & Noble.
