Android N finally gets a name: Nougat, not Nutella
Android N has an official name, but if you were hoping for Nutella, you're going to be disappointed.
Android N, which Google unveiled at its I/O conference in May, finally has a name: Nougat.
Google announced the official name on Snapchat and Twitter.

Google had set up a website for users to submit names, and while social media seemed to suggest that Nutella was the favorite, the search giant has decided to go with a more generic -- and less legally contentious -- name.
Nougat is due later this summer. If you want a sneak peek, you can download the latest developer preview as long as your device is supported. (Just remember to make a backup.)
