Anonymous user sues Yahoo! over anonymity

A user of Yahoo! Inc.'s (yhoo) financial message boards has filed suit in federal court against the company over its policy of turning over identifying data to third parties. Companies have subpoenaed message board sites like Yahoo! in attempts to find out the identities of users who post false or misleading information or information critical of their firms. The suit against Yahoo! claims that the company has divulged this information without notifying the user. -- Margaret Kane, ZDNet News
