AOL UK passes 150,000 members
Whatever its global fiscal and reliability woes, AOL UK continues to gain momentum and announced this week it now has 150,000 members. The service swept by the 100,000 mark as recently as December of last year.
Separately, a survey by CommerceNet/Nielsen Media Research suggests close to a quarter of all North American adults are now online. The survey suggests that 50.6 million people are Internet users, double the total of 18 months ago. Another interesting statistic is that women are now 42 percent of the total.
