Apple is expanding its software coverage for its mobile and computing devices today with the availability of iWork for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Each of the iWork productivity apps (Keynote, Pages and Numbers) are available to download from iTunes immediately for $9.99 each. iPad owners who already have iWork running on their tablets will get suite as a free upgrade, and a Keynote Remote app sells as a standalone product for 99 cents.

Note that only the following iOS devices support iWork at this time: iPad and iPad 2, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, and iPod touch (3rd & 4th generation).

The full-fledged Mac OS X Snow Leopard versions sell for $19.99 each from the Mac App Store, so one could try to look at these mobile versions as a bargain. With the exception of work done on an iPad, these iOS editions are really only useful if you're using the computer version to begin with.
