It's a fair bet that the product will be a tablet or slate ... iTablet, iSlate, iPad (some tipsters tell me to keep an eye on this website) or something similar. It's going to be a keyboard-free, touchscreen device. It's a fair bet that it's going to be iPhonesque in nature, but different.

Everything else is a mystery. Sure, there's a whole heap of speculation, but that's it. Apple secrecy is such that it's a pretty safe bet that whatever this new device is, the security surrounding it is some of the highest possible that a company can pull off. The chances are that most, if no all, of the rumors are bogus. Past history shows this to be the case.

So, we know nothing, and that there's plenty to reveal at the event. Some things to keep an eye on:

  • Price
  • Form factor
  • Revenue model

Stay tuned!
