Apple faces suit over Cube
Apple Computer Inc., which has launched vigorous legal actions to protect the unique look of its Macs, now faces a possible lawsuit over the Power Mac G4 Cube it launched at this month's Macworld Expo/New York.
Cobalt Networks, manufacturer of the Qube server appliance, alleged on Friday that Apple had infringed its trademarks. Cobalt's Qube, which was launched in May 1998, is a deep blue, 7-inch-square server for hosting Web applications. Full story. -- Matt Loney, IT Week, and Matthew Broersma, ZDNet UK
