LONDON -- Apple on Thursday confirmed that it is pulling out of the only Macintosh trade show in the United Kingdom, leaving exhibitors to wonder whether to proceed with plans for Apple Expo 2000, scheduled next spring in London. Macworld UK had reported early Thursday that "strong rumors" from Apple headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., suggested that iCEO Steve Jobs was cool to Apple's participation in the UK show.
