Apple's Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) is set for release on April 29. Among the highly touted features that Apple CEO Steve Jobs thinks will "drive our competitors nuts trying to copy them" are Spotlight--desktop search--and Dashboard, which allows developers to create widgets that run on the Mac. Previously, Jobs showed off Dashboard widgets, including a stock look-up service, currency converter and flight tracker. Hopefully Tiger will drive competitors nuts...or at least push the Windows and Linux camps to keep up or surpass the Mac user interface...
