Asana, a task management platform for teams, is gearing up to roll out an update following a new partnership with time-tracking solutions provider Harvest.

The Harvest tool will be integrated with the Asana task pane so that users can record time spent on a particular activity on the same dashboard already keeping track of tasks.

The idea is to save employees time from having to toggle between two different dashboards and platforms when it comes to keeping track of tasks as well as logging hours spent on them.

To make use of the feature, users (at companies subscribing to both Harvest and Asana) select the appropriate Harvest project and start the timer. The icon turns green to signify that time is being tracked.

When a job is completed, the user just has to click on the same project again to signify completion. Time allotments are saved to Harvest timesheets.

For prospective users that are already Asana members but might not already have access to Harvest, these employees can sign up their teams add the integration themselves into Asana in the team settings. (Of course, that is if your IT department permits this.)

There is a free 30-day trial available for Harvest. After that, pricing ranges from $12 to to $49 to $99 per month for three separate subscription options: solo, basic (five to 10 users), and business (starts at 10, unlimited after that).
