SINGAPORE - The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) has launched an e-business community with Singapore Internet start-up 2cliq.com Pte Ltd ("2cliq").

With this launch, 2cliq will bring 400 corporate members of ASME together into a virtual business community, empowering ASME members with the ability to share information, network and collaborate over the Internet.

The ASME e-community is powered by 2cliq's Association Desktop, which is designed as a central point of communication for associations, where members can use a customised suite of groupware applications to network, share information and interact as a business community.

"We are proud that the ASME is launching its e-business community using our Web platform. With this platform, we are leveraging on the power of the Internet to create another avenue for networking and information sharing for its members - over the cyberspace."

- Mr. Yeo Guan Kah
Chief Operating Officer
2cliq.com

Some of the services that are available on the ASME e-community include allowing members instant access to the association's newsletters and announcements, informing members of latest events organized by the association, discussing business topics with other members, and accessing the association's online information library.

2cliq is also providing each ASME corporate member with the Company Desktop, which allows companies to build their own secure Intranet on the Web, accessible from anywhere in the world through a Web browser.

Some of the features provided on the Company Desktop include e-mail, company calendar, contact manager, document manager, and corporate Intranet features like company directory, notice board for announcements and newsletters, and employee handbook.

In addition, 2cliq provides companies with a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Web site creator, the Website Wiz@rd, for companies to create and maintain their own Web site.

Besides, 2cliq is also providing corporate members with the Company Desktop for intra-company communication and information sharing. Together, we hope to provide ASME member companies a one-stop integrated communication platform on the Internet.

"After using our services, we are hopeful the local SMEs can see the tremendous cost savings that can potentially be realized by hosting their company's intranet and Web site with 2cliq, instead of investing in their own infrastructures and paying high on-going maintenance fees," added Guan Kah.
