ASUS is to release a new passively-cooled Radeon HD 6770 graphics card called the HD 6770 DirectCU Silent featuring an enormous passive cooler that is 16% more efficient than the stock cooler.

DirectCU refers to the fact that the cooler uses four direct touch copper heatpipes which whisk away heat from the GPU.

This card also features Super Alloy Power design (a fancy name for higher-grade components), 800 stream processors, 1GB of GDDR5 memory, a 128-bit memory interface, and offers D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs. No word on clock frequencies.

Not the best card going, but this shouldn't have any problems handling modern games, and you'll get a great gaming experience from a fanless card.

The Radeon HD 6770 DirectCU Silent should be shipping in a few days.
