AT&T Fuze is now available for $299.99

I have used the HTC Touch Diamond for several months and the display is absolutely fantastic. Today, the HTC Fuze from AT&T is available today for US$299.99 after US$50 mail-in rebate and 2-year contract. The no commitment price is US$499.99, which actually is a very reasonable for a device with all of these high end features and much cheaper than the US$700+ I have paid in the past for unlocked devices with these types of features.

The AT&T Fuze is the US version of the HTC Touch Pro that has been available for quite a while in other countries. Specifications of the AT&T Fuze include:

  • Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
  • 528MHz Qualcomm 7210 processor
  • Quad-band GSM (850/1800/1900 MHz)
  • Quad-band UMTS/HSDPA (850/1800/1900 MHz)
  • 512MB ROM and 288MB RAM
  • 2.8 inch 480x640 high resolution touch screen display
  • 1340 mAh battery
  • 3.2 megapixel camera with flash light
  • Integrated GPS receiver
  • Integrated 802.11 b/g WiFi radio
  • Integrated Bluetooth 2.0 radio with EDR
  • microSD card slot with support for SDHC cards
  • Dedicated 5-row QWERTY keyboard

WMExperts already has a full review of the device and is quite impressed with it. Mobility Site also posted their extensive review this morning. I just received the Sprint version of the device and am working on my first impressions article to go live tomorrow or Thursday. One major difference that I can see in the two versions is the keyboard layout. They both have 5 rows of keys, but the Sprint model has numbers along the top row while the AT&T one has them as alternate characters over on the right side in a phone keypad arrangement. Also, the Sprint model has a different camera arrangement on the back and has a flush soft-touch back while the AT&T model has the diamond design with shiny back cover.
