Australians track crack attempt to US military
A recent attempt to break into the computer system of the Australian Stock Exchange has been traced to a US military base, according to managing director of the exchange, Richard Humphry.
The Sydney Morning Herald said Humphry confirmed that crackers attempted to get into the database of the nation's stock exchange over the weekend and "broke into another Web site to achieve that objective".
