Authorize.net back online

Transaction processing company Authorize.net says it has solved a hardware glitch that prevented some of its customers from initiating credit card authorizations for online purchases. Company officials said that the outage, which popped up Wednesday, was caused by an internal hardware issue and that data was not compromised. The company, acquired by Internet portal Go2Net Inc.
