Barclaycard trials voice Web banking
Tests voice access to balance, available credit, recent transactions information
Barclaycard is to work with Motorola on a trial of voice-activated access to its Internet site.
Customers participating in the trial will able to access information on their credit card accounts using voice commands, including balance, available credit and recent transactions. The company said that it will introduce further services over time.
The trial will use Motorola's VoxML (voice markup language) voice recognition technology running on the company's Mobile Internet Exchange (MIX) communications platform.
