Beijing bar fined for pornography download

Beijing's largest chain of Internet bars, called Feiyu, was fined on Tuesday after police found pornographic Web site material had been downloaded on to some of its computers. Beijing Security Bureau examined Feiyu's nine Internet bars near Peking University, according to Beijing Youth Daily. Two computer experts helped with the police investigation. After two hours, police found that 56 computers out of 860 had records of pornographic Web sites. Officers said there had been an effort to hide some of the addresses. The security bureau imposed a fine of 10,000 yuan (about $1,180). Police also confiscated the 56 computers that had pornography on them. Story. -- ZDNet Asia
