BlueKai, the California company specializing in data management and analysis for marketers, announced this morning the opening of a new London office and the appointment of Microsoft veteran Zuzanna Gierlinska as the country's managing director.
The company indicated that 2014 would be its year for international expansion; the effort, it seems, is already underway, fueled by the company's steamrolling revenue growth (more than 9,000 percent since 2009) and a general industry trend toward data-diven marketing.
The company took in nearly $27 million in 2012, with about 110 employees.
Gierlinska's task will be to build the company's U.K. sales force and enter into partnerships. (It's no small task: London is BlueKai's first international location.) The ad tech vet previously served as Global Agency Director for Microsoft.
