A company called Boomi is so confident of its application integration technology that it has issued a challenge ahead of next month's Dreamforce conference in San Francisco: tell Boomi which application you'd most like to see integrated into salesforce and Boomi will create the "Dream Widget" to give away at the conference.

The challenge makes for some good exposure for the company's AtomSphere platform, which connects cloud and on-premise applications without the need for software or appliances. Boomi is already made available to salesforce developers in the AppExchange marketplace, where developers buy, sell and trade customized business apps. In a statement, Boomi co-founder and CTO Rick Nucci said:

We're soliciting inpit from the salesforce.com community to deliver the integration they feel will unleash the most potential from the Salesforce for the business. This initiative highlights Boomi's commitment to community driven innovation, and allows us to showcase the power of our AtomSphere platform by delivering an out-of-the-box integration that solves a real business problem and can be set up in minutes.

For the contest, voters can either come up with their own integration widget or choose between three initial candidates: Salesforce to LinkedIn, Crunchbase or WebEx

The contest runs thought October 30.
