Brio Technology, a business intelligence solutions provider has announced the opening of a regional office in Singapore.

The new direct operations, which were formally launched today by Brio's founder and CEO Yorgen Edholm, will operate with a core team of technical staff to supply technical support and consultancy to channel partners and customers.

This move is in-line with the growth of the demand for business intelligence solutions in the region.

In the last three years, Brio has opened six offices in the Asia Pacific region, increasing its employees from 6 to 40 and grown revenues by over 200% per annum.

A part of the Brio growth plan is a "Train the Trainer" program which focuses on training and recruiting regional distributors and resellers. Number over 60, the company's distributors includes names like IBM, IQ Dynamics, Winfair, Canon Sales and Sharp System Products.

The Singapore office will serve as Brio’s central operation in South East Asia.

"From here, our core team of technical engineers will work with other support staff in Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo to ensure a high quality of technical support. It will also enable them to access specialized expertise regardless of where it is situated in the region," said Douglas Bellin, Brio's regional manager for South East Asia, who will head the new office.

Where required, technical issues will be escalated to the headquarters in the US.

"Business intelligence turns data into actionable insight - which is invaluable for senior management and simultaneously empowers end users," said CEO Edholm. "With our new office, we bring this expertise closer to our Asia Pacific customers who previously had to rely on support from our office in Australia."
