CA buys Oblicore; Eyes cloud service levels

CA said Monday that it has acquired Oblicore, which provides service level management software.

According to CA, Oblicore will bolster its line-up of cloud computing applications. Oblicore's software will be used to manage cloud service quality levels.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but Oblicore brings some big-name customers including AT&T, BT and ING.

The integration should be relatively smooth given that Oblicore is a long-time partner of CA and its apps are largely integrated with CA's enterprise software.

CA has been gobbling up IT optimization companies. For instance, CA bought NetQoS and Cassatt last year.
