The collaboration of Informatics with Caldera aims to provide companies with comprehensive training for Linux Professional Institute (LPI) industry certification.

SINGAPORE, 19 May 2000 - Informatics Holdings Ltd announced a partnership with Caldera Systems, Inc. to deliver one-stop, fully packaged Linux education programmes through its network of IT training centers.

Under the agreement, Informatics will adopt Caldera's suite of Linux training and certification preparatory courses and deliver hands-on training to IT students throughout Asia.

Under the LPI certification, students are assessed in the essential skills required to support Linux. Students who complete Linux courses with Informatics will be able to support multiple Linux distributions. This includes Red Hat, TurboLinux, SuSe and Corel Linux.

Upon the completion of the course, students are ready to attempt the LPI Certification that qualifies the student as a Linux expert.
