The trade show, which is taking place in Hanover, northern Germany, from 15 to 21 March, covers a lot of ground, literally as well as figuratively. Around 500,000 visitors are expected to traipse through the 26 exhibition halls over the next week. So far, Siemens, Nokia and SAP have been busy making announcements, with plenty more expected over the coming days, including RIM — the BlackBerry maker — and security company Symantec's boss John Thompson.
