China to lead EIP $29.4 mln industry

Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) market in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) was estimated to be worth $29.4M in 2003. This market is expected to reach an estimated US$52.2M by 2007 with a robust compounded growth of 15.5% over the next four years. In the Asia/Pacific region last year, ANZ reaped in the largest revenue share from EIP software of nearly 40% of the market, followed by Greater China and South Asia. However, IDC estimates that Greater China will overtake the ANZ market by 2007 in terms of market share mainly due to the growth of the PRC market.
