Chipmaker Analog Devices plans US$36 million expansion

Signalling a robust future in the US and Europe telecom industry, AnalogDevices is constructing a new three-storey factory building with anaggregate floor area of 18,275 square meters. Commercial operation of theexpanded facility would start by February 2001.

Signalling a robust future in the US and Europe telecom industry, Analog Devices is constructing a new three-storey factory building with an aggregate floor area of 18,275 square meters. Commercial operation of the expanded facility would start by February 2001. Last year, Analog generated export revenue of US$40.6 million, which represents 89 percent of the projected earnings of US$45.5 million, and increased its headcount to 1,088 workers in the Philippines.
